Welcome to the employment opportunities page for SEYCo Nursery School! For more than 50 years, we have proudly provided a high-quality early childhood education experience for our member families and the surrounding community.

As a cooperative preschool, SEYCo families are actively involved in supporting and participating in the school community. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about early childhood education, cooperative learning, and making a positive impact in the lives of young children for the positions listed below.

Substitute Teacher Requirements

Required Clearances

PA Criminal Record Check

To obtain the criminal record check, go online at https://epatch.pa.gov/home. This will eliminate the need to mail in your criminal record check application.  The cost is $22 (subject to change).  In most cases, you will receive your record check within a few minutes.  If not, they will send it to you.  

PA Child Abuse History Clearance

To access this clearance, go online at   https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home. You will have to create an account to register.  It is not an instant clearance and still could take up to 14 days to process, but you will receive an email to access your clearance online.  The cost is $13.00 (subject to change).

FBI Fingerprint Clearance

All applicants must register before going to the Fingerprint Center via the IdentoGO website at https://uenroll.identogo.com/ (24 hours/day, 7 days/week) or call 1-844-321- 2101 (Monday – Friday, 8 am – 6 pm). WHEN YOU REGISTER, YOU MUST ENTER THE APPROPRIATE SERVICE CODE FOR DHS (Department of Human Services): 1KG738.

You will pay a fee for the fingerprint clearance of $24.95 (price subject to change). Payment may be made using a debit or credit card, a Money Order, or a Cashier’s Check at the fingerprint location. Money Orders and Cashier’s Checks must be made out to Morpho Trust. NO CASH or PERSONAL CHECKS will be accepted at the fingerprint sites. All applicants will receive an unofficial paper copy of the report at no additional cost to the applicant. Once your fingerprints are taken at the fingerprint location, you will be issued a receipt that will have your UEID (Universal Enrollment ID). This is the number you must provide to the employer for the employer to access your FBI clearance online. You must provide proof of identity upon arrival at the Fingerprint Center, such as a state-issued driver’s license, state ID card, passport, etc. 

NSOR Clearance

Click HERE to access the required NSOR verification application. Please carefully read the following instructions on how to submit. To maintain compliance with the federal Child Care Development Block Grant, the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) partnered with the Office of Children, Youth, and Families to provide applicants with a verification letter confirming their name search on the National Crime Information Center’s National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR). This national search must be performed for any individual working for or as a regulated child care provider and any relative child care providers caring for children receiving subsidized child care.

The verification letter is valid for 60 months. Individuals continuing their relationship with child care as a provider or resident must renew their clearance prior to its expiration.

NSOR Verification Application Process

Currently, all applicants for NSOR verification must print and fill out the application. All fields of the application must be completed. The applicant’s signature must be handwritten or DocuSigned. Once completed, use one of the following options to submit the application for processing:

  • Mail to the Clearance Verification Unit, ChildLine at the following address:
    • Department of Human Services
      PO Box 8170
      Harrisburg, PA  17105-8170
  • Scan and email the application to RA-PWNSOR@pa.gov with “NSOR Verification Applicant_(Your Last Name)” in the subject line; or
  • Hand-deliver to the Clearance Verification Unit lobby at 2525 North 7th Street, Harrisburg, PA  17110. Free parking is available.
NSOR Verification Processing Details
  • Fee — There is no fee for the NSOR verification.
  • Processing time — Processing time is 14 calendar days from the date the application is received at the Clearance Verification Unit (CVU).
  • Retain a copy of the completed application for your record. You may need a copy as proof of your submission.
